This two-day camping trek leaves Kandy, walks into the Knuckles Conservation Forest, and spends one night in a tent. Meals on the trail, a guide, and camping gear are included, from 120 US dollars. It is a forest night rather than a cave camp at Duwili Ella or a cabana stay. Tell us your dates at least two weeks ahead if the camp needs a permit.
The point of this trip is a quiet night under the canopy, with a walking day on either side. The exact trailhead depends on which campsite the Forest Department will allow for your dates. We confirm the route when the permit comes back, and we say so clearly in the reply to your enquiry.
Note: If your dates need a camping permit, book at least two weeks ahead.
Pickup in Kandy, drive to the agreed trailhead, and walk to the campsite. Dinner at camp.
A shorter morning walk, pack up the camp, and drive back to Kandy by evening.
