Duwili Waterfalls Chain and Cave Camping (Budget)

About this activity

The budget Duwili trip is the same two-day cave camp beside the waterfall chain, at a lower starting rate of 55 US dollars. Meals and gear are simpler than on the standard camping trek. Ask which nights, meals, and equipment are included before you pay a deposit. The camping permit still has to be requested at least two weeks ahead.

Choose this rate if you are happy with a no-frills camp and want the falls more than a comfortable setup. The walk, the forest rules, and the weather limits are the same as the standard Duwili trek. If you want sleeping gear and a fuller meal plan confirmed up front, take the standard two-day instead.

Itinerary

1. Day 1: Approach and camp

   Drive from Kandy to the trailhead and walk in to the cave shelter by the falls. The evening is quiet and basic.

2. Day 2: Falls and return

   A morning look at the chain, then the walk out and the drive back to Kandy.
